Terms of Service
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Welcome to Vortex. These terms govern your use of the Vortex Discord bot and its web dashboard. By using Vortex, you agree to the terms below — please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By inviting Vortex to a server, using its commands, or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Vortex.
We may update these terms at any time. Continuing to use Vortex after a change is published means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be announced in the support server.
2. Description of Service
Vortex is a Discord bot providing moderation, anti-nuke protection, automod, logging, welcomer, tickets, giveaways and related utilities, along with a web dashboard for configuration. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and features may be added, changed or removed at any time.
3. Eligibility & Discord Compliance
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using Vortex. Vortex is a third-party application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Discord Inc.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Vortex to:
- Send unsolicited messages, spam, or self-bot automation through Vortex's commands or API.
- Deceive, defraud, or mislead other users.
- Circumvent Discord's moderation and safety tools, or Vortex's own rate limits and security measures.
- Post NSFW, offensive, or illegal content in welcome messages, embeds, autoresponders, or any bot-generated output.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract Vortex's source code.
- Submit false abuse reports or misuse the support system.
Servers or users found violating this section may be blacklisted from using Vortex without notice.
5. Ownership & Intellectual Property
Vortex, its name, logo, source code and underlying systems are the property of the Vortex team. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from Vortex or its branding.
6. Server Owner Responsibilities
If you add Vortex to a server, you are responsible for configuring it appropriately — including automod, welcomer, anti-nuke and permission settings. You are responsible for actions Vortex takes as a result of your configuration (bans, kicks, message deletion, role changes, etc.), and for ensuring other members of your server do not misuse Vortex's features.
7. Premium & Paid Features
We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, pricing and what is included will be clearly disclosed before any charge, and free features will continue to be available.
8. Termination & Blacklisting
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate access to Vortex — for a single user or an entire server — at our discretion, particularly in cases of abuse, security risk, or violation of these terms or Discord's policies.
9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Vortex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or disruption arising from your use of the bot, misuse by others in your server, or downtime of Vortex or its underlying infrastructure. Actions performed by Vortex as configured by a server's administrators remain that server's responsibility.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service periodically. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Vortex after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
